John M. Quigley Medal for Advancing Real Estate and Urban Economics![]() The John M. Quigley Medal for Advancing Real Estate and Urban Economics is to be awarded to the individual who best represents the many ways in which John significantly advanced the academic fields that span his collective works. These fields include real estate, urban economics, public finance, regional science and others. The medal will recognize the many dimensions in which John contributed to these fields. Specifically, candidates for the John M. Quigley Medal may have produced a record of scholarship that opens up new avenues of inquiry, have a demonstrated record of mentorship of young scholars, have supported institutional advances within these fields, or have been particularly effective at dissemination of these fields to public and professional practices. In short, John consistently and significantly found ways to advance these fields; candidates for the John M. Quigley Medal should similarly be able to provide such a narrative. Nominations for the John M. Quigley Medal will be accepted annually and may be made by any individual or organization. Individuals are encouraged to nominate their own work with supporting letters from others to enhance the candidacy. The winner is chosen by the Nominations Committee. 2023 Quigley Medal Recipient - David GeltnerClick David's photo or the link below to view the 2023 Quigley Medal Keynote Address. 2023 Quigley Medal Keynote AddressGuidelines:
