www.CREBook.net resource hub for students, alums, faculty and professionals now available
The 4th Edition of Commercial Real Estate Analysis for Investment, Finance and Development is finally being released this fall 2025, published by Rutledge (Taylor & Francis), with the addition of some new co-authors. The authors now include David Geltner, Norm Miller, Alex Van De Minne, Piet Eicholtz, Thies Lindenthal and Lily Shen. To buy the book or order an evaluation copy go here or go to the Rutledge.com site. This will be a new format, a “hybrid” book with half (core chapters) in print and half online or fully online. This approach keeps the text cost down for students to less than half of the cost of the previous edition.
A companion website https://www.crebook.net/ is now available, that not only supports the text but goes well beyond with hundreds of resources, spreadsheets, slide decks, video lessons and extra text on tangential topics. For example, tokenization, global demographics trends, sustainability, proptech resources, data sources are provided. Some instructors may enjoy using the video lessons or the state-of-the-art introduction to five modern valuation methods or the myriad list of extra slide decks. Like previous editions, the book is aimed at a global audience focused on theory, method and practical considerations in application. Q&A and exam materials are available from the publisher. We are seeking suggestions for more open resources, spreadsheets that others are willing to provide. If you have a file you don’t mind sharing please send it to [email protected].
