FIREL Real Estate Lecturer Position

Job Summary:
The Department of Finance, Insurance, Real Estate and Law (FIREL), at the University of North Texas G. Brint Ryan College of Business (RCOB), invites applications for the appointment of Lecturer in Real Estate starting in the Fall 2022 semester or possibly Spring 2023.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to effective teaching, advising and mentoring of real estate students, cultivate strong relationships with the real estate industry, and prepare students for success in the real estate industry.

Duties will be comprised of teaching and service, including the following:

  • Teach undergraduate real estate and finance courses at the UNT Denton main campus, Frisco branch campus, and off-site locations (face-to-face and/or online). The standard teaching load is 4 courses a semester.
  • Advise and mentor undergraduate students to assist with career goals. • Cultivate strong relationships with the real estate industry and promote UNT’s real estate programs.
  • Interface with the RCOB Career Services Center to facilitate placements and internships for students in the real estate industry.
  • Participate in department, college, and university service.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A master’s degree in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching real estate and finance courses at the undergraduate level.
  • Record of positive teaching evaluations for real estate university-level courses.
  • Professional experience in the real estate field.
  • Experience engaging with real estate industry groups.
