Call for Papers: Housing Economics Research Conference
The Fitzgerald Institute for Real Estate at the University of Notre Dame is seeking papers for presentation at its housing economics research conference, scheduled for March 18-19 on the University of Notre Dame campus. The conference aims to foster discussions and exchange of ideas on the economics of housing and real estate, as well as urban economics more generally. We will consider research in any area of housing or urban economics, but we particularly encourage submissions on the following topics:
- Costs of constructing housing and infrastructure
- Evaluations of the effects of recent zoning reforms
- The bottom of the private housing market (e.g. tenant protections, extended vacancy and abandonment, low-value mortgages, maintenance costs)
- Neighborhood revitalization policies
Please submit full papers or extended abstracts to [email protected] by Friday, January 9th, 2026. Authors of accepted papers will be notified by January 23rd.
Conference sponsors will cover accommodation for presenters, discussants, and panelists.
